The Community Development Education Collaborative (CDEC) is a virtual community of practice for all community development educators - including university-based educators, students and community educators.

As community development instructors, we are informally bound by shared expertise and passion. The CDEC works as a virtual collaborative that brings educators together to share their thoughts, works, experiences, and resources. As such, we have created a comprehensive platform for educators to communicate and share resources.

By becoming a member, you will get access to:

  • Teaching resources and content from members, including syllabi, presentations, exercises, teaching aides and support materials.

  • Our online community and a directory of professionals, with opportunities designed to help all community development educators engage, connect, educate, share, and thrive.

  • Best practices and cutting edge insights in the field of community development education through regular newsletters and updates.

As a member, we ask that you:

  • Contribute to the collaborative by submitting your own educational materials in CDE.

  • Reach out and communicate with others in the CDEC.

  • Highlight the great things you are doing as a CDE educator.
