CDE INNOVATION MINI-GRANTS

The Community Development (CD) Education Grant Team requested proposals for innovative community development education projects related to one or more of the following topics: 1). Instructional Practices and Pedagogy 2). Evaluation of Educational Methods 3). Community Engagement 4). Communication and outreach. Five (5) $4000 innovation mini-grants will be awarded on November 1st, 2019.

Submissions:
Projects should focus on innovative applications of community development education in the classroom. This can include unique community engagement projects/strategies, working with a new/unique community audience, applying an innovative teaching technique, unique collaborations etc.

Deadline: The deadline for abstract proposal submission was October 15, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Review Process:
Each proposal will be reviewed by the CD Education Collaborative members. Proposals will be evaluated based on innovativeness, contribution to the field of community development education, quality of the research/practitioner-based project and sustainability.

*The lead author of the abstract proposal will be notified of the review decision via email on or before November 1, 2019.

Rules for Proposal Submission:

  • Submitted proposals must have at least one investigator who is a current CD Education Collaborative member. The CDE Collaborative is a virtual community of community development educators who support one another by sharing resources in CD education.   • Members may submit more than one proposal.
