Over the last few decades, the community development field has grown substantially, characterized by more communities engaged in development efforts, as well as the field's proven capacity to provide solutions to community issues (Matarrita-Cascante & Brennan, 2012). This increased demand within the workforce has created a felt need for further higher education training in Community Development Education. Thus, our purpose is to provide a foundation for the field as well as further the impact of community development programs in institutions of higher education. This can be done by ascertaining fundamental knowledge, skills and values, while solidifying national communication and knowledge about instructional delivery and curriculum development (Hains et al., 2020.p 416).
